About the instructor
Who am I? My name is Sami Ylinen, I’m 29 and I live in Sweden. I’m a classically trained musician with a Master of Music degree from the Malmö Academy of Music in Southern Sweden, where I studied for 5 years with Anders Ljungar-Chapelon as my teacher. I also studied with professor Henrik Pröhle at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary for 6 months as an exchange student.
In total, I’ve been playing the flute for 19 years now, and I’ve played on TV, radio and done loads of performances with symphony orchestras, as a soloist and with smaller ensembles.
I have also been playing the guitar for about 16 years now, and I studied with Ronny Carlsson at the Kapellsberg school of music, and with Peter Venne in Ste-Adèle, Quebec.
